The 2025 George Alexandru Memorial Sarasota Invitational is hosted by the Sarasota County Rowing Club and is a USRowing Sanctioned Regatta. Learn more on Regatta Central.

Where: Nathan Benderson Park, 5851 Nathan Benderson Cir., Sarasota, FL 34235

Student-Athlete Arrival Time: All student-athletes must arrive at the trailer by 6:30 AM. ***UPDATE: Drop-off/pick-up only available at the parking area by Homewood Suites. Only buses are allowed on the Island. Plan accordingly to arrive at the boat trailer at 6:30 AM. Here is a map showing the location of the parking lots. Student-athletes are required to wear their unisuit.

Parking: The parking fee is $10 cash per car.  Due to the Circus, parking for both participants and spectators has to be off-island, near the new Mote Aquarium (under construction) to the northwest of the island and by the Homewood Suites hotel (both in easy walking distance).  There will be signage at both locations. The Homewood lot is approached when heading south on N. Cattleman Rd just before turning east towards the finish tower; the Mote lot is accessed when heading NW on N. Cattleman Rd, just past the playground area (at the finish line) of the Park.

***There is no formal crosswalk from the north side of Cattleman Road (where the Mote parking is located) to the south side where you can walk to the course.  It would be best to walk up the slight hill until you are opposite the tower and can see traffic coming in both directions, before crossing. Alternatively, the Homewood Suites field is already on the south side of Cattleman Road, so no crossing is needed.

Boat Assignments: Boat lineups can be found here, and will be updated by the coaches closer to the event. Race times may change without notice.
