7th Annual HHS Rowing Club ERG-A-THON

What is an Erg-A-Thon? It is our biggest fundraiser of the year! HHSRC student-athletes will compete against one another for the longest distance rowed on an erg in 30 minutes, with individual distances recorded. Each competitor obtains sponsorship either with a flat amount or on a “per meter rowed” basis. With average distance rowed at the event of 5000 meters per athlete, a sponsorship of just one cent per meter = $50 for HHSRC!

Get the word out! Student-Athletes, please send out Erg-A-Thon sponsorship requests on your favorite social media or via email/text to family and friends! Social media/email/text example can be found here.  

Our goal is for each student-athlete to raise at least $250!

• Student-athletes who raise $500 or more will be entered into a drawing to NAME A BOAT SEAT!
• The student-athlete who is the top fundraiser for this event will win a $100 Amazon gift card.
• Our top Male and Female Erg-a-thon Varsity and Novice athlete competitors will each win a $25 PLANET SMOOTHIE gift card, a pair of rowing crew socks, and exclusive bragging rights!

Are there any other competitions? YES, a “MINUTE TO WIN IT” (MTWI) competition where families/friends can enter with a $5 donation to HHSRC. Each competitor will erg for 1 minute as fast as they can! The top male and female student-athletes with the furthest distance in 1 minute will each win 25% of all monies collected for the MTWI competition. 2023 MITWI awards will be given in these categories: Adult Male, Adult Female, Male Student-Athlete, and Female Student-Athlete.

We need your help in meeting our fundraising goals! All proceeds will be used for HHSRC operating expenses and to fund equipment that will help us remain competitive as a team and improve the experience of our student-athletes! Contact hhsrowingclub@gmail.com with any questions.
