HHSRC needs you!
HHS Rowing Club operates on the efforts of volunteers like you. With the exception of the coaches, all other work (e.g., orientation, picnics, building boat racks, transporting boats, boat maintenance, regattas, chaperoning, etc.) that goes into making this club function, comes from your volunteer hours.
Check out HHSRC's Wish List (update in progress!)
Each rower's family is expected to volunteer 30 hours of time for the Fall season and 30 hours for the Spring season for a total of 60 hours for the year. Any member of the family (including the rowers) can help volunteer. All volunteer hours must be recorded under the PARENT website login for credit. If a family is unable or prefers to not volunteer, the "opt out" fee is $450 each season. Each hour equates to $15. So if a family volunteers 20 hours, they would owe $150 for that season.
Parents must submit their volunteer hours online; once approved the hours will post online so you can track your total time. Go to the "Volunteer Hours" link for how-to instructions. Please input your volunteer time on a weekly basis.
It will be up to you to get in touch and step forward with your commitment to help. Please watch for ways that your family can get involved. Look for e-mails announcing volunteer opportunities and requests for help and let us know what other talents your family can bring to the Club. To contact a Committee you are interested in getting involved with, go to the "Contact Us" link for people involved and their e-mail addresses.
You can also donate items that are needed. Each fifteen dollars you give towards Gatorade, water and other needs of the Club equate to hours of service. The Hospitality and Equipment committees can help with items that are needed.
If you are interested in bringing in sponsors to the club or participating in the Capital Campaign... take a look at these attachments! Help us brainstorm ways to help fund HHSRC! (update in progress!)
